Point Credit Rules and Conditions

Earning Qualifying Points with Canadian North
As an Aurora Rewards member, you earn points when you book with Canadian North. Points are earned on scheduled flights booked with Canadian North (not applicable on charter flights). Points earned will be credited to your account within 3-4 weeks after the completion of the flight segment. For the most current information on the amount points you can earn with Canadian North, please visit aurorarewards.com. The amount of points earned is subject to change from time to time at the discretion of Canadian North.

Provide your Aurora Rewards number at the time of booking or check-in for each flight. The name on the reservation must match the name on the Aurora Rewards account for points to be credited.

Calculating Qualifying Points for Air Travel
Qualifying Points are calculated based on the distance flown, the fare paid and the level of membership achieved within the Aurora Rewards program.

Members will earn Aurora Rewards points based on the miles flown for non-stop or direct flights (segments) based on the distance between the origin and the destination, multiplied by the applicable fare class calculation from the booking code, as indicated on your ticket. A Qualifying Segment is defined as a single flight number starting in one community/city and ending in another, not including stops enroute.

A minimum mileage of 500 will be used to calculate the percentage of points earned according to the booking code, when travel is less than 500 miles.

On connecting flights that require a change of plane and flight number, points credited will be calculated based upon the distance from origin to destination for each segment of the trip. Canadian North reserves the right to limit credit for an itinerary to the flight segments listed on your ticket.

Upon request at the time of enrollment, points will also be awarded for travel flown up to 30 days prior to enrollment.

Earning Aurora Rewards Points with Authorized Program Partners
As an Aurora Rewards member, you may have the opportunity to earn Aurora Rewards points through qualifying transactions made with companies or organizations that are authorized Aurora Rewards Program Partners. We will publish details about these opportunities on the Aurora Rewards website at aurorarewards.com/offers. You must identify yourself as an Aurora Rewards member and provide your Aurora Rewards membership number to the Partner at the time of the transaction. We will credit your member account with the Aurora Rewards points you earn if the Partner is in good standing with us, and only after the Partner notifies us to do so. Points earned through qualifying transactions completed with an authorized Program Partner may take up to 8 weeks to be credited to a member account. We are not responsible if a Partner delays or fails to notify us or for any other delay in recording points in your account. Queries regarding missing points resulting from Partner transactions must be directed to the Partner for resolution. We may refuse to record or honour points in your account, or if already recorded, we may cancel them, if we cannot confirm that they were properly issued or obtained. We may also cancel recorded points if the issuing Partner does not pay amounts owing to us or tells us to cancel the points (for example, because you returned or didn't pay for products or services for which the points were issued). Partners will determine the conditions under which they will issue points and may change those conditions at any time and without notice. Some Partner locations may not participate in the Program. Any dispute must be settled between you and the Partner. Aurora Rewards points earned through Partner transactions will not count towards Aurora Concierge status. Authorized Partner agreements are subject to change and may be terminated at any time without notice.

Earning Points with Aeroplan
The Aurora Rewards Program also offers you the opportunity to earn points in Aurora Rewards and miles in Aeroplan on the same flights. In order to accumulate Aeroplan Points, you must be enrolled as an Aurora Rewards member as well as an Aeroplan Member and add your Aeroplan Number to your Aurora Rewards profile. We will credit points for Aurora Rewards and miles for Aeroplan when you enroll in Aurora Rewards and provide your Aeroplan Member Number in your profile prior to completing any flight activity.

The awarding of Aeroplan Points is calculated in a different manner than Aurora Rewards. For details on Aeroplan Points earned when travelling on Canadian North flights, please visit: www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/aeroplan.html#.

Any missing activity on your Aeroplan account must be addressed with Aeroplan.

The awarding of Aeroplan Points is subject to change or termination at any time at the discretion of Canadian North or Aeroplan, without prior written notice.

Points Expiration/Account Closure Policy
Under the Aurora Rewards expiration policy, points will expire two years (24 months) after the month they were earned if there has been no other earning activity within those two years.

Canadian North reserves the right to terminate your membership in the Aurora Rewards program at any time if you violate the program rules, any term or condition of Canadian North's contract of carriage, fare rules, or any other Canadian North rule and regulation that applies to your travel. Termination of your membership will result in a loss of all accumulated points in your account, the cancellation of any unused awards or prizes, and the loss of all other Aurora Rewards benefits. Terminated members are not eligible to participate in any aspect of the program. In lieu of termination, Canadian North may at its sole discretion deduct points from your account, but permit you to continue participating in the program.
